welcome
“Your on-the-job training already confounds what many providers deem possible. Your trainees are contributing to their community and changing the lives of others never mind themselves. This inspires others who may be mired in only providing a “Roof over the head” culture”.
Matt Potts, former Special Adviser on Homelessness, Department of Communities and Local Government and new Director of Homeless Services at Salvation Army
Aspire Foundation is a new charity that specialises in supporting social enterprises tackling homelessness and disadvantage through enterprise and employment.
We champion the role of enterprise, entrepreneurship and employment in helping to unlock the potential of people who've often been written off by society, to discover confidence, skills, self-belief to achieve their aspirations.
We do this by:
- Developing and supporting social enterprise providing employment and training opportunities
- Supporting programmes in which each trainee gains direct experience in a business providing valuable local services alongside access to professional qualifications and mentoring
- Ensuring that each social enterprise works with local social, business and public sector partners to provide integrated pathways into employment
